Botox® injections temporarily relax facial muscles whereas Juvéderm is a dermal filler of hyaluronic acid (HA), which plumps up the skin. Using them in tandem provides complimentary enhancements that keep your face and skin looking balanced, youthful, and refreshed. Is it safe to get Botox® and Juvéderm from my dentist? Botox® in dentistry is considered safe when performed by a dentist specially trained in Botox® injections. Dr. Huffman was trained by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and is highly trained in facial injectables including Botox®, Xeomin®, and JUVÉDERM® products. As a dentist, Dr. Huffman has also had extensive training and is extremely familiar with head and neck anatomy. This knowledge and background are important for safe, effective injections and natural-looking results. How long does Botox® treatment last? Botox® treatments typically last 3-4 months. A Botox® treatment session may last only 10 minutes depending on the number of areas you have treated. The process consists of a fine needle being inserted into your superficial skin. This can be a little uncomfortable, but most patients find the discomfort very tolerable given how short the treatments are. There is no downtime for Botox® and results will show a day or two after treatment with optimal results being noticeable at 7-10 days post-treatment What should I expect from Juvéderm treatment?
